The conference will take place in beautiful Biel/Bienne, Switzerland located at the Bieler See (lake Bienne) in the buildings of the Bern University of Applied Sciences. Biel is just 30 km away from the Swiss capital and UNESCO World Heritage Site Bern in the canton of Berne and can be easily reached by public transport. Biel/Bienne is the 10th biggest Swiss city in terms of population and has a border to the Jura mountain range. In good conditions you can see the high rising and world famous Bernese Highlands’ mountains Eiger (3967m) Mönch (4107m and Jungfrau (4158m) from Biel/Bienne.

Biel/Bienne offers a beautiful and complete medieval town center with 15th century stone houses grouped around three town squares and their fountains dating back to 1535. Newer parts of the city represent one of the largest homogenous collections of Art déco and Bauhaus. Biel/Bienne can be easily reached from the international airports Zurich and Geneva with train connections taking about 1 and half hours. By car, highways connect to Basel, Zurich or Bern.
