Healthcare of the Future is a Medical Informatics Conference which explores recent advances in the deployment of digital technologies in areas such as eHealth, mHealth, personalised health and workflow-based health applications. The overarching aim is to bridge or to eliminate current information gaps in outpatient care, inpatient care and each interface between those.

The 2022 conference theme is «From vision to best practices!».
Relevant topics include amongst other things

  • Communication and information exchange in care settings
  • Pandemics as a stress test for healthcare IT
  • Active living and assisted living (AAL), hospital@home
  • Use cases for the design of electronic health records
  • Workflow-based patient guidance in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Digital medication processes in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Disease management applications (e.g. diabetes)
  • Digital health interventions
  • Usability and Human Centred Design in healthcare

The conference proceedings will be published open access in the Studies in Health Technology and Informatics series (HTI). All papers will be indexed in PubMed/Medline, Clarivate Analytics Conference Proceedings Citation Index or Book Citation Index (formerly Thomson Reuters / ISI Book Citation Index), DBLP Bibliography Server, Embase, EMCare, Google Books and Scopus.

We welcome full papers of up to six pages which will be published open access in the conference proceedings.

Students (Bachelor or Master) and persons who graduated within the last two years can participate in the Young Researchers Track. Submit a four-page paper on your thesis or project. Accepted submissions will be published open access in the Studies in Health Technology and Informatics series (HTI). Seize the opportunity for a first publication listed in Medline/Pubmed and get free admission to the conference!
